1 new case of COVID-19 confirmed out of 1,019 samples tested at Uganda Virus Research Institute on 21st April 2020.

The new case is a 32-year-old Kenyan truck driver who arrived from Kenya at Malaba border, according to the Ministry of Health.

The Director General of Health Services says did not have any signs and symptoms consistent with COVID-19. Dr Mwebesa adds that he was tested as part of the standard procedure for all cargo transporters entering Uganda.

The total number of Confirmed Cases of COVID-19 in Uganda is now 61.

Meanwhile, three people were admitted at Mulago National Specialised Hospital for COVID-19 have been dischsrged.

This brings the number of patients who have recovered at the hospital to 20.

The Ministry of Health Spokesperson Mr Emmanuel Ainebyoona says only three COVID-19 patients are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital,

The total number of patients who have recovered from COVID-19 at duggerent hospitals is 41.
