Covid-19 Testing

Results of COVID-19 tests done on 08 July 2020 confirm 23 new cases. The cumulative confirmed cases of Ugandans are now 1,000.  Please see attached Press Release for more details and information. 31 foreign truck drivers tested positive for COVID-19 at the border points of entry and their entry into the country was not permitted. According to the Ministry of Health – Uganda, following a Presidential Directive of deducting all foreign truck drivers from Uganda’s case count, the confirmed COVID-19 cases now stands at 1000. The total number of recoveries stands at 908 (both Ugandans and non-Ugandans) in Uganda. Uganda has NOT registered any COVID-19 related death to date.

Remember to wash your hands regularly and thoroughly with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water. Also, continue to follow WHO guidelines on social distancing, keep at least 4 meters from the individual nearest to you. We will keep you informed of any updates in the national and WHO guidelines as and when they arise.
