Today we join the world in celebrating the invaluable contributions of laboratory professionals at UVRI HIV Reference Laboratory as they implement the National HIV Quality Assurance program across 3464 healthcare facilities (2 National Referral hospitals, 16 Regional Referral hospitals, 172 general hospitals, 203 health centre IVs, 1382 Health Centre IIIs, 862 Health Centre IIs, 46 stand-alone laboratories, 33 specialized ART clinics and 748 private clinics). This team works tirelessly to ensure that every person in Uganda gets access to accurate, timely and reliable HIV testing and safe blood transfusion services in both private and government health facilities countrywide.
