7 new COVID-19 deaths registered; 3 from Kampala, 4 from: Mbarara, Jinja, Mbale and Masaka. Results of COVID-19 tests done on 09 October 2020 confirm 163 new cases. The cumulative confirmed cases are now 9,701. Please see attached poster for details and more information.

Uganda has recorded two (2) new COVID-19 deaths in Kampala and Gulu districts bringing the total COVID-19 deaths to 81.
The Ministry of Health has also confirmed 146 new COVID cases from samples tested on 3rd October 2020.
The cumulative confirmed COVID cases in Uganda are now 8,808 and recoveries are 4,736.

The Ministry of Health confirms that the deaths are from the districts of Kapchorwa (2), Kampala (1), Mbale (1) and Gulu (1).
