UVRI confirms results of the 2 suspected COVID-19 cases from St. Mary’s Lacor Hospital in Gulu district are negative for COVID-19.

Uganda Virus Research Institute confirms results of the 2 suspected COVID-19 cases that were admitted St. Mary’s Lacor Hospital are negative for COVID-19.

The Ministry of Health launched investigations into the suspected cases after the death of two COVID-19 suspected patients at Lacor Hospital in Gulu District.

All 2,400 samples tested negative for COVID-19 today at Uganda Virus Research Institute.

All 2,400 samples tested negative for COVID-19 in Uganda ton 28th April 2020.

Of these, 534 samples were from the community while 1,866 samples were from truck drivers.

The total of Confirmed Cases of COVID-19 in Uganda still stands at 79 while total recoveries are 52. The active cases are 13.

Uganda has not registered any COVID-19 deaths.

Uganda Virus Research Institute/Target Malaria Uganda joins the rest of the world today to commemorate World Malaria Day.

The day is an occasion to appreciate efforts by countries worldwide to fight the disease and also highlight the need for continued investment for malaria prevention and control.

1 new COVID-19 case confirmed today out of 1,533 samples from truck drivers tested at UVRI.

1 new COVID-19 case confirmed out of 1,533 samples tested at Uganda Virus Research Institute on 24th April 2020.

The new case is a 43-year-old Ugandan truck driver who arrived from Kenya via Malaba.

1,116 samples tested were from truck drivers while 417 samples were from the community.

The total of Confirmed Cases of COVID-19 in Uganda is now 75.
